Writing a Paper in Six Weeks

Do you lack the time or motivation to write an article for publication? Have you had an article rejected in the past and lack confidence to have another go? Do you have a tight time frame to get something published? Do you want to submit an article for publication but don't know how to do it? If the answers to any of these questions are yes, this writing project may be the one for you.

Publication Boot Camp

This project aims to support you to get an article written so that it's ready to submit for publication in six weeks. This is not a holistic process - this is publication boot camp that focuses on the output, rather than the process of writing. If you have more time and want to find out about the writing process in depth, you may be better off joining an academic writing course.

How This Project Works

This project will walk you through the process of writing an article week by week. You can do this by yourself, but it is preferable to work with at least one other person.

If you are working in a group, be prepared to meet once a week for an hour. This may be face-to-face, or in a virtual group using Skype or a similar web conferencing program. If you are working in a group you need to be prepared to devote time to supporting the group editing process, as well as writing your own article.

Before you start this writing project, you do need to know what you want to write about and have carried out a literature review.
